Gas, covered
Every rider pays a share of the real cost of the drive, computed from your actual route, your car's EPA mileage, and today's gas price. A full car can cover most of your tank.
Company, included
A three-hour drive is better with people from your campus in the car. Everyone on tag. is a verified student, with a real name, photo, and rating.
You stay in control
Your trip, your route, your schedule. Matched riders ask first and you approve or decline. Pickup detours are checked against your route and kept small.
The honest part
You won't make money. That's the point.
tag. is cost-sharing, not a job. Riders reimburse a share of what the drive really costs, and nothing more. That keeps you a student giving classmates a ride, not a commercial driver, with everything that distinction spares you.

What it takes

A verified .edu email
Same rule as everyone on tag. You verify once, at signup.
Your car on your profile
Year, make, model. tag. pulls the official EPA fuel economy so your trips split on real numbers.
A valid license and insurance
You're a private driver sharing your own trip, and the basics still apply: licensed, insured, road-legal.
